SA Comedy Blog

The SA Comedy Blog was born in June 2007 it had one goal in mind unite South African Comedy, well it did just that. By May 2008 the blog was enjoying over 1000 hits a week and had comedians from around the world commenting on its content. Whilst a very serious look of development was the way the project panned out. Readers soon found the odd funny tale and video to keep them amused.

The project was initiated by Brent Niemend in Cape Town and Alistair Plint in Johannesburg and was sponsored by The Comedy Shop, it was never an agency thing but more a comedy Rant, Rave and discuss forum type blog and well it became a foundation to The Comedy Shops main business. In July 2008 the SA Comedy Blog felt its hardest smack, when the hosting provider servers lost the entire site, archives, root directories and all. So the team had to start again.

Well the project is back in full force and we believe that it will prove to be the best possible Comedy Site in the planet as soon as we can. The rules to post are simple, if you have any comments and or content all you need do is register and get a password. Then Log in and post. We keep away from anything unsavoury and wish that you will too. The new blog has a spell check - easier media upload system and has a more techno look - hope you like it.
